All stinging, all chanting, all three the hurting kind: It Hurts emerged out of the torrid dying days of an Auckland summer. Claire, Beth and Angeline all played in other bands in other cities before converging on the origin to inflict an unsettling buzz of bugged-out bass, beats, waves and wails.
